‘Our Objectives:
To run a viable farming business by making the best use of the farm’s natural resources to produce quality beef and lamb, whilst enhancing and protecting the environment’
Bleng Farms is a 250 hectare beef, sheep and arable farm lying in the western fringe of the Lake District National Park. The main holding is on the outskirts of the village of Gosforth which is about 15 miles south of Whitehaven, however the arable land is situated at Sandwith which is very near Whitehaven.
We have been farming at Gosforth for over 50 years and with our type of farming we saw integrated farm management as the best way forward post foot and mouth disease.
